It is integral for internet users at both the commercial and the domestic level to have uninterrupted internet connectivity. There is good news for internet users as by the efforts of the new regime have brought home the better days. In order to facilitate the people who cannot think of living without internet, the Cybernet Pakistan has joined hands with the PEACE Cable International Network Company. After this cooperation, the capacity of the internet is likely to increase by 96 terabits per seconds. This would be the first of its kind internet that would be distinguished for being the open access submarine cable system. The agreement is signed between the two on the 16th of April, 2019 in Cairo. The efforts started a year ago when the draft plan was sketched in 2018 through the Understanding of Memorandum.
The PEACE cable system is the source of connectivity between the countries of South Asia, the Gulf, and Egypt. The major countries connected through this include Pakistan, Egypt, France, Kenya, and Djibouti. In this way, the connectivity is going to contribute to the development and prosperity of the economic corridor existing in the region.
It is one of the unique kinds of network systems that are very extensive. The length of 12,000 kilometers is although owned by the private sector yet it is of high quality because of being highly flexible. The system is also open and excellent as the carrier-neutral services. 2020 is going to be the time when the first phase will come to the completion.
Once the project is fully launched the carriers are expected to deliver the best results in the shape of gigabit speed. The entire project rests on the most innovative and updated 200 G technology and WSS technology. This can render a high speed of 16 terabits per fiber pair.
