A two-day ‘National Workshop on Incubator Management’ held at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) jointly organized by Business Incubation Centre of NUML (BICON), Higher Education Commission and Idea-Gist.
The prime objectives of the workshop is to foster the entrepreneurial culture by providing the students, alumni and faculty an opportunity to transform their business ideas to reality.
The workshop also addressed the panel motivated discussion which revolutionized the young mind sets to become a successful entrepreneurs and to gear the nation towards the high tech hub by competing with the international standards.
Addressing the Incubator management workshop Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar stressed out the timely need of good entrepreneurial leadership.
He stated that “Rs100 billion allocated for youth loan programme in which unemployed youth will be given interest-free loan to start their own businesses.”
Dar concluded that, Pakistan needs 1.7 million jobs every year for youths, the government plans to create such employment opportunities through public-private partnership under the Kamyab Jawan Programme to empower youth.
The national Incubator workshop concluded that managers need to have mechanisms to monitor founder development and startup progress to decide appropriate focus in terms of learning and performance.
