The concept of conducting a convention to support the rightful cause of Independence for the people of Kashmir is not bad at all. This concept is supported by almost every Pakistani. The Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba Karachi conducted a convention at 5:00 PM, Saturday, 12th of October 2019 at Hakeem Saeed Ground Karachi.

But it gave birth to a controversy on social media and rightfully so. The advertising video featured children talking about conquering India. The convention advertisement on Facebook also indicates the slogan about Pakistan conquering India.

Controversy is shared by both sides of the border. Indians commented that we were raised while surrounded by anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan ideology and look at where it got us and both the countries. Now same poisonous thoughts are being taught to Pakistani kids and the new generation is heading towards the same.

Children are the future of any nation. Conquering India isn’t a priority by any means when a country of 23 million people is having half of its population below the line of poverty. Almost half of the population is lacking basic necessities of life. Most of the youth is jobless so the matter at hands is creation of jobs. Pakistan is lagging behind in science and technology. Pakistani youth are brilliant and quality education is the need of time.

Pakistan has the 15th biggest army in the world and surely they can take care of India as Pakistani army is one of the best and professional armies of the world but the youth for now should concentrate on education and making Pakistan financially strong.

As Prime Minister Imran Khan during his speech in UN indicated that the world is preferring India because they are a market of 1.3 billion people so it is material vs humanity. Our youth should concentrate upon making Pakistan an economic strength and only then the world is going to hear our side of the argument about Kashmir.
