Realme set foot in Pakistan during the fall of 2018. Although it was introduced as a subsidiary of Oppo, the company has quickly separated into its own brand. It has become so popular that many are speculating it to be a real threat to major smartphone companies. So, what is it that made Realme such a huge success? Well, the answer is their commitment to offer people value for money and their latest product, RealMe note 5 Pro proves that. The phone was released in Pakistan on October 2, 2019 and immediately caused a lot of buzz across the country. This is because it is one of a kind phone that offers many exciting features. The Realme 5 Pro price in Pakistan is quite reasonable. If you are curious to know more about this smartphone, then here is my Realme 5 Pro review.

Specification

Let’s start the Realme 5 Pro review with its specifications. The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE processor with an octa-core 11nm. It would be available in, 4GB RAM with 64GB of storage, 6GB RAM with 64 GB of storage and 8GB RAM with 128 GB of storage.

This mobile will be having a battery capacity of 4035mAh. It will also contain a 20W charger which will ensure fast charging of your device, taking only 1.38 hours to juice up the battery. The smartphone will operate on Android 9.0 and ColorOS 6. In addition, the Realme Note 5 Pro will run HD videos smoothly as it supports streaming from services like Prime Videos and Netflix.

There’s also Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, a 3.5mm headphone jack and GPS. Another important feature of Realme 5 Pro is that it contains UFS 2.1 for all variants. Moreover, you would be able to play many popular games seamlessly thanks to its Hyper Boost 2.0 technology.

Design

For a mid-range phone, the Realme note 5 Pro looks impressively good. It doesn’t feel too big and features the geometric pattern on the back. Whereas, on the rear, you can find abstract shapes that have slightly different colors. However, there is still a unified gradient running down on the back of the mobile, giving you an option to choose from sparkling blue and crystal green finishes.

Although the phone may look glossy, it isn’t slippery at all and is easy to grip which is a plus. Thanks to its curved back panel and rounded sides, the Realme 5 Pro fits comfortably in a palm and weighs 184g. You can even use this phone with one hand without any hassle.

The side rail houses volume key and sim-tray on the left while the power button is located on the right edge. On the bottom, you will find a 3.5mm audio socket along with a single speaker. There will also be a USB Type-C port.

On the back of the Realme 5 Pro, you will find a quad-camera setup and a fingerprint sensor that you can use to protect your mobile. While on the front, you would be able to spot the selfie camera located within a v-shaped notch at the top.

Display

The Realme 5 Pro has an impressive 6.3-inch (16.0cm) FHD+ display. It claims over 90% screen-to-body ratio, providing a clearer and wider view. The screen is an IPS LCD panel, which may not be as impressive as AMOLED but considering the Realme 5 Pro price, it seems like a reasonable trade-off. Plus, the panel is quite color accurate so you won’t be feeling much of a difference.

The phone’s brightness levels also do a pretty fine job. The screen would get 450nits bright and you will be able to use your device in sunlight without straining your eyes. As far as the protection of the screen is concerned, you will get a Gorilla Glass 3+. The screen would also be covered with a pre-applied plastic protector.

Camera

The next up on my Realme 5 Pro review is the camera. The company has changed the game by giving this smartphone quad camera. The main rear camera is equipped with a 48-MP Sony IMX586 sensor. It has an aperture of f/1.8 and uses pixel binning, merging four pixes to produce sharp 12MP pictures. However, if you want to take an image in 48MP resolution, then you can do that through a dedicated mode in the camera menu. Then, there is an 8-MP wide-angle camera with an f/2.25 aperture, a 2-MP Macro camera and a 2-MP depth sensor. There’s a 16-MP front camera too with f/2 aperture which can capture great selfies.

It is Splash-resistant!

With having the factor of user satisfaction in mind, the company has delivered a quality product by making Realme 5 Pro splash-resistant. This means that your phone’s interior and exterior components will remain protected if you spill some water on it by accident. However, it can only withstand splashes and will stop functioning if you take it underwater.

Realme 5 Pro Price in Pakistan

You would be delighted to know that the Realme 5 Pro price in Pakistan is quite affordable.  It will come in three variants, 4GB RAM, 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM. The Realme note 5 Pro price in Pakistan will start at Rs. 39,999. The Realme 5 Pro with 8GB RAM will cost you around Rs. 43,999. This means that this smartphone will be competing against Realme X, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 6, Vivo Z1 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M30.

Final Verdict

The Realme 5 Pro is a powerful package and there’s a lot to like about this device. It is offering you many great features from a long battery life to quad cameras at a good price. Also, not to forget that the mobile is splash-resistant. So, to conclude my Realme note 5 Pro review, I would say that this smartphone is worth its price, and is definitely one of the best among the mid-range options.
