The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board signed MoU with Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research for constructing digital complex in Peshawar.
Officials of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board said in a statement issued that a 20-storey digital complex will be built in Peshawar. The complex would comprise of information technology and science parks, incubation and co-working facilities, data centre, business process outsourcing ready facilities, IT companies, display centres, auditorium and related facilities.
Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry were also attended the signing ceremony.
The chief minister said on this occasion that the initiative was a landmark achievement towards understanding the digital Pakistan vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Training will be given to youths related to I.T in In the complex. All the information technology facilities will be available under one roof. construction of digital complex on 16 Kanal land will be completed within 3 years.
He said that the digital complex would not only attract provincial, national and international IT sector investors but also offering the employment opportunities to large number of youth in the province.
He said that the present government wanted to accelerate the digital transformation of the province.
