Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Asim Saleem Bajwa on Friday said that the work on the 330 Megawatts (MW) Thar Block 2 power plant is going on in full swing.
Asim Bajwa said that the work on the project has been unaffected by Covid-19.
“[Work on] Thar Block-2- 330 MW power plant by Thar Energy Limited,HUBCO, [is] in full swing unaffected by Covid-19,” said Asim Bajwa on Twitter.
Asim Bajwa further said that the project has attracted an investment of $500 million and has created 805 local direct jobs.
He added that the financial close was done on January 31 2020.
In a separate tweet, Asid Bajwa informed regarding the arrival of a ship carrying 17,000 tonnes of DAP at Gwadar port adding that such shipments boost local employment and transport business.
